Inside you will find a list of my women's barbershop arrangements as well as information about my coaching and teaching experience and availability.

Experience is Key

I have been a front-line chorus director three times and frequently coach choruses and quartets in the barbershop style on three continents. I have taught a wide veriety of barbershop classes including courses on composition and arranging, basic vocal production skills, expressive singing, music selection and interpretation, visual effectiveness, understanding and using score sheets, and understanding the judging process. I have served on the International Board of Directors of SAI,  been a long-term member of the International Music Arrangers Program (IMAP), taught eight consecutive years at the International Education Symposium (IES) and for many regional and chorus workshops. I now serve as Music Arrangements Coordinator for SAI.

photoDuring 35 years as an active member of Sweet Adelines International (SAI), I've been involved in nearly every aspect of the barbershop art form. I started out singing baritone in a chorus in Houston, and soon joined a quartet. I have been onstage in International competition with eight choruses under outstanding directors. Once I became fimiliar with the barbershop style, I began arranging and eventually composing for barbershop singers. More than twenty of my published compositions and many more arrangements are being performed by Sweet Adelines and other barbershoppers worldwide, in both competiton and  non-competition settings.
